How did you decide to pursue a career as an athletic trainer?
I have always loved sports and being around athletics. The excitement of being at games and watching them on TV was big for me as a kid, so I always considered coaching when I became older. When I began playing football in college, I quickly learned that coaching is a job that requires endless hours, little time for family and not a whole lot of job stability. As I battled through injuries in college, I began to observe those who were in charge of my medical care and I realized that as an athletic trainer, I could limit some of the negative aspects of college athletics while still staying very much involved in athletics. As I learned more about the profession, I became really intrigued with the human body and how it functions, so athletic training became a great fit for me. read more…

I got a medical discharge from the Army because of my Plantar Fasciitis. Now I wear RockTape for that.
“So I’ve had plantar fasciitis for over 4 years now. I’ve tried everything, even had surgery done on both my feet. Today I had my feet taped at physical therapy for the first time with RockTape. And I’m impressed. My feet haven’t felt this good in a long time. I’m actually getting medically retired from the Army because of my feet are so bad. I’m just in awe with how good my feet finally feel. Outstanding product. Thank you.”

“After Hurricane Matthew came in, I noticed some mild inflammation in my older geldings back leg so I put some RockTape on to help. My younger gelding was pretty sore from working muscles he hasn’t used in a while, so I used the RockTape on him, too. Thank you RockTape for keeping my “kids” feeling good!”

RockTape’s manifesto urges people to get up and keep moving no matter what. Get moving; go outside, splash around in the mud and run through rings of fire. WIN. While our rallying cries resonate with some, it has become apparent to us that they are NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY. We need an adage that resonates with EVERY WARRIOR armored in RockTape.
This one’s for our warriors fighting battles no one else can see. For the ones whose triumphs go unnoticed and whose greatest strengths and proudest moments are taken for granted by those around them. For the champions whose marathons include standing for several minutes or an hour at a time. You may not receive medals for your miraculous victories, but these daily battles just make you stronger.
Sometimes we forget just why our tape is so special. When we tape people to help alleviate chronic pain – even the slightest bit – THAT is the ultimate victory. It’s time to tell the WHOLE STORY. The reason we love RockTape is because of what it can do for people like Stephanie Lomeli.

How did your jet skiing career begin?When/how did you get into jet skiing?
So, it all started when I got injured and wasn’t able to ride a motorcycle anymore…. I was looking for something to fill that gap in my life. I thought it was a very similar sport so I started researching. As a freshly injured paraplegic I had to be somewhat safe and consult my doctor. After talking to him and getting his opinion–he strongly advised me not to do it, warning that it might be just too violent for my back. For some strange reason I ignored his recommendation and went ahead and tried riding a PWC, after that it was all downhill from there. I was absolutely hooked and wanted to get a bigger and faster ski. read more…
